Ric, as Principal of Great Ideas in Action has over 35 years’ experience in local, state and federal government, as well as the nongovernment sector throughout Victoria and Queensland. Ric’s particular focus has been on the building of more inclusive communities for individuals with a disability and their families. Ric facilitated the designing and development of the Inclusion Works Model and over the past 16 years coordinated Inclusion Works in Townsville, a small community building service foundered on the principles and practice of ABCD (Asset Based Community Development). Ric holds qualifications in Education, Health Education, Recreation Planning, Youth Work, Workforce Training and Assessment, and is a Justice of the Peace (Qualified). Ric lives on Magnetic Island, Queensland Australia. Ric is married to Candy and they have a very small and cute Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, named Harvey. Ric has a state wide, national and international reputation through his teaching and presentations which are known for their high relevance, practical implementation, passion and humor.
